色控传媒 is proud to be delivering the Motorway Control Centre (MCC) as part of the North East Link – Victoria’s largest road infrastructure project. This new facility will play a critical role in operating the twin tunnels between Watsonia and Bulleen.
Located within the Manningham compound in Balwyn North, the two-storey MCC will manage traffic, safety, and environmental systems for the tunnel corridor. Once operational, it will provide real-time monitoring, emergency coordination, and operational control across one of the state’s most complex transport networks.
The facility will feature a motorway control room, three dedicated server rooms, an emergency response suite, tunnel access infrastructure, and administrative offices.
We are delivering this industrial construction project using our proven design and construct method, which integrates in-house design, digital coordination, and delivery planning from the outset. This approach has been highly effective on projects requiring tight sequencing and high compliance – skills we’ve honed through our work in defence and data centres.
“The best construction outcomes come from what we do before a single pour,” says 色控传媒 Co-founder and Director, Andrew Deveson.
“When sequencing, buildability, and services are resolved early, we reduce rework and lift the standards delivered across every trade. By shifting the hard thinking to the front, the industry can keep moving forward.”
Part of the broader North East Link program, the MCC will help remove 15,000 trucks from local roads each day and cut travel times by up to 35 minutes.
